ISWA is open to individuals and organizations from the scientific community, public institutions and public and private companies from all over the world working in the field or interested in waste management. ISWA is the only worldwide waste association, which allows you to network with professionals, companies and institutional representatives.

The ISWA Young Professionals Group (YPG) was established in 2013 with the aim to build a network of young professionals working in waste management around the world and it facilitates networking, knowledge exchange, mutual learning and career growth. Over the past 3 years, the ISWA YPG is also becoming an international think-tank for overcoming local challenges in waste management. Since 2015, the ISWA YPG has started to develop regional YP groups such as in Germany and in Brazil. The purpose of these regional/local ISWA Young Professionals Groups is to support local YPs in similar matters of the international group but with a focus on the regional issues and particularly on awareness-raising of these issues to non-WM related audiences.
