Ekonnect Knowledge Foundation was founded by Dr. Prasad Modak in 2012 with a clear mission: to build a more responsible and sustainable world.
We work at the intersection of environment, sustainability, and community impact. Our programs span awareness building, training, education, capacity development, and entrepreneurship in environmental management. Alongside this, we undertake policy research and support CSR interventions rooted in community engagement, helping catalyze innovation and channel investment toward greener outcomes.
Ekonnect is registered under 12A, 80G, and FCRA, and is recognized by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to undertake CSR activities under Form CSR-1.
Over the years, we have worked across a wide range of projects, engaging stakeholders at every level: government, academia, communities, and businesses. With a presence across India, we are equipped to deliver both on-ground implementation and desk-based impact assessments, wherever the work takes us

Our Approach
We work across the full lifecycle of a project, from training and capacity building, to programme delivery, entrepreneurship support, applied research, and impact assessment. This range means we can support an organization at any stage of its sustainability journey, not just for a single project.
Each engagement is built around the specific goals of the organization we’re working with. Working pan India, we bring together technical environmental expertise and a cross-sector network, shaping each program, study, or partnership to fit the context it’s meant to work in, rather than applying a fixed template.
